Vacation Training Program on Bioresources

Vacation Program on Bioresources (VPBR), as conceptualised and pioneered by the DBT, has many unique features about it. VPBRs are focused and innovatively designed programs that attract and enroll bright students with leadership abilities to sensitise them on key concernes relevant to management and sustainable utilisation of bioresources. A typical VPBR is a residential four week program. In addition to giving its participants a comprehensive overview of Bioresources, VPBRs also foster long term contextual associations between particpants rooted in shared larger concerns relevant to bioresources.

Each year 20 VPBRs are conducted under the aegis of the DNA Clubs Program in different parts of the country benefitting more than 600 carefully selected participants. The curriculum of VPBRs is an interesting mix of hands-on activities, field excursions, first hand exposure to cutting edge institutions & technologies, mini projects and competitions.
